Kellie Richardson : Poet/Mixed Media Artist

PCAF GALLERY CURRENT EXHIBITION

PCAF is honored to share the work of Kellie Richardson. Kellie is a poet and mixed media artist who came to art out of necessity–a very primal attempt to stay grounded, present, and fight mind monsters. Her work is a dance with the ghosts of the pasts and their impacts on her life. Her poetry and mixed media collages depict the complexities of identity, and look at intersections of race, gender, sexuality, mental illness, and faith. Her work provokes dialogue on issues that hinder and support our healing. Appointed  Tacoma’s Poet Laureate in 2017, Kellie Richardson recently published her first collection of poetry, “What Us Is”.
